"Schnaps" in Ottmanach was destiliert always according to traditional methods. The first license for distillation comes from 1780, issued by

Empress Maria Theresa and this License for distillation still have Gut Ottmanach.

Our BIO brandy produced from pears and apples grow on trees belonging to the "old" variety of the Carinthian fruit trees.

These trees are around the BIO-operation Gut Ottmanach and in the castle grounds.

Our liquor is stored in our 600 year old brandy cellar and bottled under the supervision of our cellar master.

 

The liquor is sold to London.
